The Beginning
Built by a family,
run like a home
In 2010 the Arya family opened twenty-four rooms on a plot their grandfather had held since the sixties. There was one dining room, one manager and a great deal of optimism.
Fifteen years on there are sixty rooms, a ballroom that has hosted more than four hundred weddings, and a kitchen that has quietly become a reason to visit Ranchi at all.
What has not changed is who answers the phone. This is still a family business — the same family, most of the same faces, and the same instinct to fix a problem before a guest has to mention it.

2010
The doors open
Hotel Arya opens on Kanke Road with 24 rooms and a single dining room, built by the Arya family on land held for two generations.
2014
The Grand Ballroom
A 12,000 sq.ft pillarless ballroom is added, and Arya becomes the address for Ranchi weddings.
2018
The restaurant, reimagined
Chef Aditya Raut joins from Lucknow and rewrites the menu around Awadhi dum technique and local produce.
2021
Rooms rebuilt
Every room is stripped back and redesigned — walnut, brass, and lighting layered like a private residence.
2024
Rooftop and spa
The heated rooftop pool, terrace grill and Arya Spa open, completing the property as it stands today.
